Mark your calendars for our next meeting, Sunday the 16th of June, 2pm set up, 2:30pm we swap! Bring anything related to the kitchen or garden to share. See ideas for what to bring below-- you have more than you think.
Pictured below is the abundance from our last swap, the 2nd of June. It was one of the most abundant meetings we've had, despite entering the colder months now. Hot house tomatoes, marmalades, worm castings, apples, chokos, mandarins, limes and lemons, two kinds of parsley, kale, rocket, silver beet, beeswax, a banana tree, broccoli seedlings, and other plants and seedlings were on offer, as well as some surplus cat litter and puzzles. We had a lovely time catching up with our neighbors and sharing recipes/ garden tips, as usual!
We plan to keep meeting regularly through winter to keep a consistent meeting time. And spring will be here before we know it! If you have been thinking of checking it out, we look forward to seeing you soon. Please come along, whether you have an abundance to share, or just at little at the moment. It is about the joy of sharing rather than a one-for-one swap.
Here is a rundown of how a typical meeting works, so you know what to expect.
How it all works:
2-2:30pm time to set up and check out everyone's offerings and catch up.
2:30 pm announcements, then we pick out new goodies to take home!
Usually all is done by 3pm.
